Chelsea legend Didier Drogba has said that he returns to Stamford Bridge on Tuesday evening with nothing but a win in mind.
The striker’s Galatasaray side come to the bridge with a slight disadvantage, having conceded an away goal in the 1-1 draw in Istanbul.
Chelsea took an early lead through Fernando Torres before Aurelien Chedjou equalised from a corner.
Chelsea fans have had the 18th of March inked into their memories as the day that Didier Drogba returns to Stamford Bridge for the first time since his Champions League final heroics almost 2 years ago.
However, in a press conference held at Chelsea’s home on Monday evening, the Ivorian stated he was here to win:
“I have nothing to prove to Chelsea. I come with another team and I just want to qualify. Nothing personal against Chelsea”
The striker did claim however that he was looking forward to seeing the Chelsea fans packed inside his former home for his return.

Finally, the striker was sure to stamp his priorities on the game once again, and make sure people would not treat him with too much respect:
“With all the respect I have for Chelsea and the fans, if I score I might not celebrate, but if we win I’ll be happy.”
It is clear Didier Drogba is looking forward to his return, but does not want it to overshadow the importance of the game with a Champions League quarter-final place at stake.
With a press conference came the inevitable questioning over a return to Chelsea in some medium for Didier Drogba.
There has been widespread speculation over a possible coaching role for Drogba, and this was a centre of attention for the journalists today.
When asked whether he would consider a coaching role at the club, Drogba said “Of course – but not now. I still want to play.”
