Jose breaks his silence on Foy

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has broken his silence on Chris Foy dismissing 2 of his players and then sending him to the stands.

Jose was left seething with Foy following the 1-0 defeat at Villa Park, and felt that a lot of decisions went against his side. After the game he asked to speak to Foy in the referee’s room, but Foy did not want to speak to the Chelsea boss.

Mourinho suggested that Chris Foy should not be chosen to referee the club’s games in future.

“Maybe it’s helpful that the committee doesn’t send him to our matches”, Mourinho was quoted as saying by ITV.

“I don’t have the right to request.”

“It’s just I think they have to analyse the situation and see if every time he has Chelsea – or not every time – but many times he has Chelsea and problems are there, I think maybe it would be a good decision.”

And the Chelsea manager identified another match which had seen the Blues reduced to nine men, when the side lost to QPR in 2011.

The referee that day was also Foy, which Mourinho claimed he did not know.

“The last time I remember something similar was in a match at QPR’s stadium.”

“I didn’t know. It’s a coincidence.”
