Belgium manager Marc Wilmots claims Petr Cech is for sale

Belgium’s National Team Manager Marc Wilmots was reportedly caught on Belgian TV speaking to ex-Liverpool manager Gerrard Houllier.

If heard correctly, Wilmots apparently told Houllier that Thibaut Courtois will be returning to Chelsea after 3 years on loan at Spanish giants Atletico Madrid.

He also told the French manager that Petr Cech will ‘probably’ be sold by Jose Mourinho.  According to London-based newspaper, Evening Standard, Jose Mourinho has been planning to make the Belgian No.1, Courtois, as his new No.1 in the Blue of Chelsea.

Evening Standard join a host of top British and Spanish news outlets to report that Courtois will be returning to London in the summer. In all likelihood, it looks very likely that Courtois will be Chelsea’s first-choice keeper when the team kicks off for the new Premier League season on August 16th.

As for the veteran Cech, his future remains unclear and we will get a clearer idea about his future in the coming weeks.

The report from Evening Standard also goes on to say that Chelsea are expected to complete the double-deal for Atletico duo Diego Costa and Tiago this week, while a deal for left-back Filipe Luis has also been agreed.
