According to the reliable ‘France Football’, Chelsea are in advanced talks with Borussia Dortmund over their Gabonese striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The striker only joined the German giants from French club Saint-Etienne last summer but reports say that Dortmund manager Jurgen Klopp is willing to let go of the striker as he does not fit the club’s style of play.
On Wednesday, Aubameyang’s father said that rumours of his son moving from Dortmund are false and he will remain at the club beyond the summer. However, Chelsea have developed an interest in the Gabonese star want to bring him to west London.
It is believed that the London club have already made contact with the player and are laying the groundwork for a transfer to take place, as Jose Mourinho looks to boost his attacking options.Â
Aubameyang had an impressive first season at Dortmund. Clocking up 32 appearances, and scoring 13 goals and making 4 assists in that time. He also managed to score 35 goals in 73 appearances for Saint-Etienne.
