With the transfer window beggining to heat up once more, Chelsea may be on the verge of making the signing of the summer.
21 year old France international Paul Pogba maybe on the verge of a switch to Stamford Bridge. The 21 year old defensive mudfielder managed to rack up eight goals and nine assists last season in all competitions which is extremely impressive considering he is still only 21.
He is currently valued at an enormous figure of £60 million however if you take into account the fact that this transfer window has seen a large rise in the price of players in general, the figure is not quite as bad as it may seem.
His style of football is very similar to the likes of Yaya Toure and I myself believe that he is definitely the type of player José Mourinho needs to bring to Chelsea.
The ex Manchester United Star failed to dazzle in the public eye during his time at Old Trafford but his switch to Turin has done himself wonders. Since he moved to Italy, week in, week out he has put in performances that have stunned the world.
The likes of Sir Alex Ferguson must be seriously regretting letting him leave for Juventus as a free agent. He is currently in Brazil playing for the France national team in the World Cup and would you believe it, in nearly every game he has played so far, he has been one of the stand out players.
His ability to produce match winning moments on a regular basis as well as his technical ability and his general physicality is almost unheard for a player of his age.
If he ends up joining Chelsea, he is likely to play alongside Nemanja Matic in a defensive midfield role. The stability, confidence and general control that he will bring to the team will be immense. Last season we already saw the likes of Matic game in, game out controlling the midfield, imagine Pogba playing along side him!
Pogba was recently seen playing Football Manager 2014 on the France plane whilst heading out to his next destination in Brazil. What struck the world was the fact that you can clearly see in the photo that he had chosen to manage Chelsea FC.
On top of that he had moved himself to the club and was reportedly singing ‘Blue is the Colour’. Now let’s be honest, you don’t see that very often. A picture of this incident can be found below.
Considering Chelsea have already signed Fabregas and are reportedly very close to finalising deals for Digeo Costa, Tiago and Filip Luis, the future is looking very bright for Chelsea FC.
