Chelsea new boy Filipe Luis has showered praises on fellow new mate Diego Costa for being an exceptional player. This is because Costa gives his all, when on the pitch.
The Brazilian international added that even if Diego isn’t the best striker in the world now, he would be soon and is happy to be with him at Chelsea too. Both players used to play for Atletico Madrid as they helped the team win La Liga last season.
The Brazilian defender also claimed that he believes his current Chelsea teammate will bang in the goals because he knows him very well.
“Diego is an unbelievable player – you are going to love him, because he gives everything for the shirt.” Luis told official Chelsea magazine during an interview.
If he isnÂ’t already the best number nine in the world, he will be very soon. HeÂ’s a brilliant player with a big heart and IÂ’m very happy heÂ’s here with me because heÂ’ll help me grow as a Chelsea player.
“I know him very well and I know he fights for every ball. If I have won the ball in a forward area of the pitch, I know I have to look to give it to him because he is better than me in front of goal. So, I always try to find him, because I know he is going to score.” He ended.
Costa scored his first competitive goal for Chelsea in its opening league game against Burnley, which ended 3-1 in favour of the London based club. But Luis watched the entire game from the bench.
