Hughes: Moses will be given that opportunity

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes has disclosed that Nigeria forward Victor Moses would be given the chance to play.

Victor Moses has joined the Potters on a season long loan with the aim of gaining much playing time.

Hughes hopes that Moses would make the best of the opportunity after having a torrid time at Liverpool last season and failing to secure a place in Chelsea’s first team.

The Potters boss also believes the Nigerian has some characteristics that the team lacked and claimed he understands his ordeal at Liverpool too.

“He hasn’t played a great deal in the last couple of seasons, so he wants to play and he will be given that opportunity.” Hughes is quoted as saying on dailystar.co.uk

“It’s up to him if he takes it and I’m sure he will.”

They (Liverpool) found a way of playing they stuck to and he was left out.

“I don’t think it was his fault, he just didn’t get back into the team. That can happen when you go to a big club.

ThatÂ’s probably all our business done now. We feel heÂ’s a player that can give us power and give us pace and weÂ’ve probably lacked that a bit.

The 23-year-old is expected to make his Stoke debut, when his team visits Hull City in their second match of the 2014/2015 Barclays Premier League season.
