Injury blow for Chelsea

The international break has returned and with it two injuries that directly affect Chelsea’s starting eleven.

Diego Costa played 65 minutes against France in a friendly yesterday and has today been pulled out of the Spanish squad. It is not yet known how long our frontman will be out for, but if he misses any Chelsea games Loic Remy will have to step up and take over the scoring, as he did last night with a delightful left-footed finish into the top corner.

Gary Cahill started England’s one nil victory over Norway, notably captained the team for a period of time and got himself a minor injury which has seen him miss today’s training.

Unlike Costa, he is expected to stay in his nation’s squad and play out the remainder.

We hope both Diego and Gary’s injuries are not serious and wish them well in recovery.
