AC Milan striker Fernando Torres has expressed his appreciation to Jose Mourinho for all that he taught him during his time at Chelsea. The striker also revealed that he has learnt so much from his former manager.
Torres joined Serie A side AC Milan on a two-year loan deal from Chelsea on 31st August 2014. He added that Mourinho wished him good luck when he told him about his decision to go play for AC Milan.
The Spaniard wasn’t a usual starter for Mourinho at Chelsea but he was full of praise for his former boss.
“I had a professional relationship with him,” he told reporters in Italy. “I learned so much.”
“When I told him that I was going to Milan he wished me good luck, and he told me about the passion for football that is here.” Torres further stressed.
“I wish him all the best, as he has done with me.”
The 30-year-old made 172 appearances and scored 45 goals during his three years at the West London club.
