Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois has been declared fit after sustaining a head injury during his side’s 2-0 derby day win over Arsenal on Sunday.
Courtois rushed out to smother an Alexis Sanchez effort during the first half but, after taking the ball, took a hefty knock on the head from the Arsenal man’s leg.
After short treatment Courtois stayed on the field of play before eventually being replaced by Chelsea legend Petr Cech.

Chelsea have since announced that Courtois suffered no more than concussion, following fears about where the blood visible on his face was coming from, with some thinking it was internal.
However, the bleeding was due to a small cut on the Belgian’s ear and Courtois has now been declared fit after a short stay in hospital.
A club statement read:
Precautionary tests on a head injury (Courtois). Those tests came back all clear.
“Thibaut Courtois was treated for a minor cut to his ear & was released from hospital last night,” the statement finished.
The 22-year old will now be available for Belgium during the international period.
