Chelsea vs Tottenham – Match Preview

Chelsea will host London rivals Tottenham Hotspurs tomorrow night. Chelsea’s approach will be nothing else but frustrated after their 0-0 draw against Sunderland last weekend.

Date: Wednesday, 3rd December Kick-off: 19:45 GMT Venue: Stamford Bridge

Chelsea have seemed so unstoppable even though they were held by a decent Sunderland team that kept Mourinho’s side quiet for the entire game.

The gap at the top of the Premier League Table is now of six points between leaders and second placed Southampton and Manchester city not far behind so Jose Mourinho’s team will be hoping Sunderland plays Manchester City tomorrow as well as they did on Saturday.

Talking about tomorrow’s game at Stamford Bridge, Tottenham haven’t been in good form this season, at least until 3 weeks ago when they lost 2-1 against Stoke City in White Hart Lane.

Since then, Pochettino’s side have picked up 6 points in their last two games so, we can be pretty sure they will approach the game with a lot of confidence, especially when their opponents top scorer Diego Costa is suspended.

Costa picked up a 5th yellow card of the season against Sunderland on Saturday which means nothing else than suspension and stands
Jose Mourinho knows it is a massive blow for his team but Chelsea will still be very powerful and the likes of Loic Remy or Didier Drogba are likely to start upfront.

Pochettino will obviously be seeking a win, against the blues but anyone know that a draw could benefit him too especially against a team who have an incredible home record of a total of 6 games, including 6 victories and 15 goals scored and 3 conceded.

There are no injuries on Mourinho side, except the young Dutch, Nathan Ake who is still sidelined but on Tottenham’s side, Kyle Walker is still recovering from his abdominal injury, although he faced Manchester City in under21’s on Monday night.

Tottenham star Emmanuel Adebayor picked up a virus so is still being assesed by the fitness team.

The game will kick off tomorrow; Wednesday, 3 December at 7:45pm.
