Fernando Torres is set to join AC Milan on a permanent basis on 5 January 2015.
The 30 year old Spanish striker moved to the Serie A club on a two-year loan deal in August and will now make his move permanent. There is already talk off the out of form striker possibly been loaned out immediately to his boyhood club Atletico Madrid in a swap deal that will see Italy winger Alessio Cerci move the other way.
Torres will always be remembered for his role in helping Chelsea securing back to back European titles. Torres managed to score 20 goals in 110 league appearances for Chelsea. Torres was thanked for his services in an official club statement that announced his departure.
