Torres has good memories of Chelsea

Former Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has revealed that the memories he has about the West London club is a good one. Torres won the UEFA Champions League, Europa League and an FA Cup title during his time at Stamford Bridge.

The striker’s move from Chelsea to Italian giants AC Milan will be made permanent when the January transfer window opens to facilitate his agreed one and half year season loan deal to Atletico Madrid possible.

On January 27 2011, the Spaniard moved to Chelsea for a reported £50 million British transfer record from rivals Liverpool. Even though he didn’t live up to expectation, the former Atletico Madrid captain is proud of his time with ‘the blues’.

“Chelsea is in the past for me now, I want to look forward but of course I look at my time there has a good one.” He is quoted as saying on Mail.com.

“Even some of the best players in the world go without winning the Champions League, memories like those can only be considered good ones.” 

The 30-year-old also spoke on his fantastic relationship with Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho.

“We shared a relationship of honesty and trust. I have nothing but respect for Jose and I am sure that he feels the same.”

“The press will always try and make stories but the truth is Jose and I have a very good relationship.”
