Chelsea 1-0 Everton – Player Ratings

Cech 10/10 – Two brilliant saves and a clean sheet for my man of the match.

Ivanovic 7/10 – The Serbian performed his duties diligently and as usual went the extra mile to give us more. He was very combative the whole night, he is a fighter, he wants this EPL title badly. His determination is all over his face.

Zouma 7/10 – This young man played very well and he is so quick, at times I thought Lukaku had managed to lose him and in a flash Zouma iwas there with a timely challenge. I think if Cahill had partnered Terry, Lukaku would have had a lote more cracks at goal.

Terry (c) 7/10 – Another solid performance from the leader, captain and legend.

Azpilicueta 7/10 – Good performance from the Spaniard made a big contribution going forward.

Ramires 8/10 – It will be very difficult for Jose to drop the Brazilian, he was spectacular and got involved in some great moves that failed to materialise.

Matic 8/10 – Some say Matic should just be declared Man of the Match for every game, he was breaking up play and removing pressure from our back 4 all night. Very consistent.

Cuadrado 7/10 – This man is so confident on the ball and he almost earned us a penalty. I was impressed with his performance because he wasn’t exactly playing in his natural position.

Willian 8/10 – We all know how hard he works and this time he was rewarded with a goal. He played another game with a slight injury, but our brilliant manager took a calculated risk of fielding him and really I hope he is 100% fit for PSG.

Hazard 7/10 – Lots of delightful crosses, he was threatening all game and had the courage to take several great shots.

Remy 6/10 – Could see him trying to take on defenders, but he failed to pull off anything meaningful, butthe important thing is the effort. With a little bit of luck he could of broken free to score.

Subs

Cahil 5/10 – Did a good job of running onto the pitch in extra time for Willian to get his standing ovation for the late winner.

Fabregas 7/10 – As soon as he came on Chelsea went into warp drive looking for that winner. He did what he does best, move the ball around and dictated each attack. Sometimes I feel like I am watching Magneto from X-Men when I watch Fabregas.

Drogba 7/10 – The king came on as a sub and showed his composure and experience as he managed to hold the ball and initiate plays as soon as options presented themselves and earned us a free kick in the Everton half. Sometimes we just need cool heads like Drogba to get us over the finish line.
