Chelsea have signed the English second biggest sponsorship in history of football, with a reported £40m a year, this time with Japanse tyre manufacturer Yokoham Rubber.

Manchester United’s sponsorship deal with Chevrolet, remains the biggest in the country, worth around £50m but Chelsea are not far behind nowm this deal eclipse the previous one with Samsung signed back in 2006 for £18m.
The Yokohama Rubber Company Ltd is on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, is listed as a public company and deals in marine, construction, industrial and even golf equipment. It’s global business employs more than 20,000 people across the world.
Chelsea is a perfect target for the Japanese, as the West London Club has in recent years, become one of the biggest sporting brands with an estimated 500m fans according to Chelsea Chairman Bruce.
