Oh boy, have we missed him! Without Cesc in our midfield we have looked no different to the side from last year. We struggle to create. With Mikel & Matic in midfield both in the Capital One tie against Liverpool & away at Southampton in the league we created only one chance in the first half – admittedly we scored on both occasions, which is why the fact has largely been glossed over!
The same is true when Ramires & Matic played against Man City – we only managed three chances in the entire game. Whenever humanly possible, Fabregas has to play!
We Chelsea fans love him. The fact that he once played for Arsenal is forgotten. If truth be known, I doubt there are many fans who would not want him pulling on their colours.
He’s like a sat nav to get you out of a maze… Nearly always taking the right path & not landing you back at square one in the middle of a pile of shit. He is so clever.. Seeing a pass & a player’s movement almost before it happens. He seems to have formed telepathic relationships with those around him.
But at the end of the day, despite his apparent super powers, he is still a human being. A prize asset who needs to be looked after.
