Luiz hails Chelsea’s summer signings

PSG defender David Luiz has heaped praises on Fabregas and Costa ahead of their UEFA Champions League match against Chelsea on Tuesday night.

Luiz, who left Chelsea for Paris Saint-Germain last summer for a reported £50 million, considers his former employers are a better side now. He played in midfield for most part of his last season at the West London club, but he believes Fabregas has brought more balance into the midfield.

Also Diego Costa’s fantastic exploits didn’t go unnoticed as, the centre-back hailed the blues’ front man. Whereas Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho had his fair share of Luiz’s praises as they go eye to eye in Champions League knockout stage on Tuesday.

“Chelsea are better this season,” the 27-year-old told the Evening Standard newspaper.

Above all they are better balanced following the arrival of Fabregas. He is perhaps the player they were missing. He balances the midfield, makes the team play well and knows how to hold on to the ball.

“With the arrival of Diego Costa, a warrior forward who always wants to score and challenge defenders, and the continuity provided by Jose Mourinho in the dugout, it’s logical Chelsea are stronger this season.” The former Chelsea player added.
