PSG threw away a two goal lead in stoppage time against Caen in Ligue 1 on Saturday after injuries forced them to play to climax of the game with 9 men.Â
This comes just three days before they host Chelsea in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16, a tie which Chelsea are favourites for anyway.
Yohan Cabaye, Marquinhos, Serge Aurier and Lucas Moura are all doubtful for the visit of Mourinho’s side after injuring themselves during a disastrous afternoon for the French champions.
Blaise Matuidi and Maxwell also picked up knocks during the game and will need to be assessed before the midweek clash.
Add these names to an injury list which already includes Javier Pastore and Laurent Blanc’s side will have quite a task getting any sort of result against the Premier League leaders on Tuesday.
While the severity of the injuries are yet unclear, it would be a sure bet the Paris side will be missing some key names for the replay of last year’s dramatic quarter-final.
Mourinho, meanwhile, will welcome Diego Costa back to the side and will boast a full roster of players from which to select his starting eleven.
