Andre Schurrle blames Chelsea for lack of training

Andre Schurrle moved to Wolfsburg from Chelsea last January for transfer fee of £22M and after making a bright start setting up two goals, he feels he failed to impress in the last nine games due to the lack of training he’s had at Chelsea.

24 year old Schurrle admits he was stuck in a hole and believes the lack of training at Chelsea has had a repercussion on his first games at Wolfsburg.

I’m still missing the last per cent.At top English clubs during the season the players are hardly loaded with any training, since it’s almost all about regeneration and tactics.

Unlike other leagues in Europe, players in England have no break in Christmas and Schurrle belives it is key factor

“In England there is no winter break. In the summer I had after the World Cup just two weeks of preparation. In January I had in the two weeks of the change almost no training because of back problems.

His current teammate and former Chelsea player Kevin de Bruyne agreed with him and said he wouldn’t worry too much about it, having gone through the same process when he joined Wolfsburg from Chelsea as well, he said:

I know it is hard for him, but it was no different for me so I’m not very worried.
