Chelsea FC have, today, agreed the signing of Romanian right-back Cristian Manea for £2.3m, reports the Daily Mail.
The story reported by the Daily Mail suggests that terms have been agreed with Viitorul Constanta for the right-back, who has made 20 appearances for the Romanian side since making his professional debut in 2013.
Reports highlight the interest of Ajax, Arsenal and Udinese in the youngster, who is expected to sign a five-year contract before heading back out on loan – possibly to his current club.
The youngster, who turns 18 in August, has already made his debut for the National side, when he featured against Albania in May last year. The right-back has also featured twice for Romania’s U21’s, after spells in both the U18’s and U17’s.
The fee is reportedly in the £2.3m region, although nothing is yet confirmed.
