Chelsea star hopes to extend stay

Willian has expressed his desire to further his stay at Chelsea Football Club, as he wishes to be a part of the future success in West London.

The Brazilian inetrnational joined the club from Russian side Anzhi in the summer of 2013, signing a five-year-deal and costing the Blues £30m.

The winger has played a pivotal part in the Chelsea team over the last 19 months, keeping Andre Schurrle out of the squad and cementing his place in a regular Chelsea line-up.

Speaking after Chelsea’s 110th anniversary recently, Willian suggested he was keen to continue making history at the club, despite the arrival of Juan Cuadrado in January, and the expected arrival of Douglas Costa in the summer.

I have a lot of respect for the 110 years of history that this club has and I hope I can bring more success in the years to come.

Willian has started 34 games for Chelsea this season across all competitions, scoring four and assisting three.

I’m just happy to be part of this history, contributing as a player on the pitch to making the supporters happy. [talkSPORT]
