Chelsea legend Roberto Di Matteo led his German outfit to a famous away victory against European power house Real Madrid last night, Schalke pushed the defending champions all the way despite losing winning 4-3.
Our squad did everything this evening. We had a very young team on the pitch, we expressed ourselves well. To win at Madrid, scoring four goals and not go through, we feel great disappointment.
It’s great to see former players doing great after giving so much to Chelsea. RDM did the impossible leading Chelsea to their first champion’s league title.
Di Matteo was a great player for Chelsea and one of the best we have ever seen. Fondly remembered for the fastest goal ever scored in an FA cup final but if he keeps this up his coaching heroics, hopefully he will surpass his achievements as a Chelsea player.
