Carragher hails Chelsea star

Eden Hazard has appeared in every single Premier League fixture for the Blues this season and is an integral member of Jose Mourinho’s side, and he produced yet another impressive display against Stoke City last weekend.

Liverpool legend Jamie Carragher is adamant the 24-year-old is a key reason behind the exciting position that Mourinho’s side find themselves in.

I think [Eden] Hazard has been the stand out player for them. I think he may just get the PFA Player of the Year, he’s someone I’d vote for.

The battle to win the individual award is a fierce one and there does not appear to be one stand out candidate, but Hazard is undoubtedly in contention.

If the West Londoners’ march to the title cannot be stopped by any of their rivals, his claim to be crowned Player of the Year will only be strengthened further.

Carragher believes that Chelsea have not been at their best of late, but nothing can affect Hazard’s composure from the spot.

“I watched the game and it was sort of what Chelsea had been like for the last few weeks; not their scintillating best going forward. He’s fantastic at those penalties and you never feel he’ll miss one,” he declared.
