Today Mourinho spoke to the media at Cobham and he started by confirming Drogba is fine and fit enough to play on Sunday. He also said Remy is a doubt and he will make a decision on whether Costa will be in the squad tomorrow. Apart from Remy and Costa, everybody is fully fit.
Mourinho then confirmed if Costa isn’t in the squad to play Arsenal, he will be for the midweek trip to Leicester. He then gave the reasoning to why Solanke wasn’t in the Under-21 squad yesterday for their match against Everton. Mourinho wants him to be fresh for Sunday, if he is needed.
The media then asked him about Fabregas, who will be making his return to the Emirates after signing for us at the start of the season. He believes if Cesc is to get a bad reception, he will have no problem dealing with it.
He then had another dig at Arsenal, like in most of his press conferences building up to fixtures against them.
Good projects end with titles. Cesc was looking for that.
However he also had words of praise for them. He believes Arsenal’s squad is ‘fantastic’ with plenty of depth but he feels Chelsea can definitely win on Sunday.
At the end of the press conference Mourinho wanted to stress the league isn’t won yet and in recent weeks teams have pushed Chelsea, so there is still work to be done before we can celebrate.
