Chelsea U21 will play against Liverpool U21 at Aldershot tonight at 19:05. Chelsea are 4th in the table six points behind leader Manchester United and 4 points behind Liverpool, but Chelsea have two games in hand.
If Chelsea still want to fight for the title they will need to win tonight, if they win they will be will only be one point behind 2nd placed Liverpool with two games less than them.
Chelsea and Liverpool are the in-form teams, both have three wins in a row in the U21 Premier League. Liverpool will go in as the favourites for the game as some of the Chelsea U21 players will be rested to play on Sunday for the first team as they host Liverpool at Stamford Bridge.
Most likely to miss the U21 game will be Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Izzy Brown and Dominic Solanke, but they will most likely stay with the U21’s and then train and travel with the first team.
