Fabregas rates our season

Spain & Chelsea midfield star Cesc Fabregas admits he isn’t completely satisfied with how his first season at Stamford Bridge went down and would give the side a score of just ‘seven or eight’ out of 10, reports to the Daily Star.

Fabregas has formed a key part of the side since joining from Barcelona in the summer. The side that have chalked up an impressive league and League Cup double this term, but that apparently still isn’t enough.

The West London side claimed their first Premier League title for five years this month, but the the former Gunner doesn’t think the campaign went off in perfection.

“If I have to give it [our season] a score, I’d give a seven or eight,” Fabregas said.

The only blow that springs to mind was the tie against Paris Saint-Germain in the UEFA Champions League.

“We were solid, consistent and we have competed very well, but that second leg is the negative thing I most remember from the season.”

“I believe we should’ve done better, but it’s a young team.”

The manager is building a new team based on the Chelsea of the past and I think that in the next few years we will be better.

The 28-year-old was signed from the Catalans last summer, and quickly proved that he still is up to Premier League football standards, making 41 appearances in all competitions and contributing with an impressive five goals and 21 assists.
