Fabregas undergoes successful surgery

It has been confirmed by Chelsea Football Club that Cesc Fabregas underwent a successful nose operation.

Fabregas was forced to wear a protective mask for the final month of the season after suffering the broken nose in April’s draw with Stoke City and was dismissed from joining the team for their post-season tour of Thailand and Australia in order to have the necessary surgery.

However, Cesc has been called up to represent Spain and is keen on joining La Roja for their friendly against Costa Rica in June, and their Euro 2016 qualifier against Belarus.

Whilst Cesc did not join the team for their South Asian tour, frequently-injured striker Diego Costa did make the journey, but has been left out of Spain’s recent call-up as Vicente Del Bosque has chosen to call up young Juventus striker Alvaro Morata, and Valencia’s Paco Alcacer, both of whom had strong ends of the their respective seasons and performed well in their last call-up.
