Yesterday, it was being reliably reported that Chelsea have agreed a deal that will take Radamel Falcao to Stamford Bridge. However, the Colombian may not be the only arrival in West London this summer.
Chelsea are still working on revamping their attacking forces prior to the new season. Jose Mourinho is still interested in signing Atletico Madrid’s Antoine Griezmann, who has a £43million buy-out clause in his contract. It is being reported that if Chelsea can sell Loic Remy for a good value, they will turn their attentions to the fellow Frenchman, from the Calderon.
Griezmann, usually plays his football out on the wings, enjoyed a prolific first season under Diego Simeone. In La Liga, the ex-Real Sociedad star netted 22 goals in 37 appearances.
Following the imminent arrival of Falcao, The Guardian are reporting that Remy is starting to become unsettled. The former QPR and Newcastle United striker will possibly fall to third choice in Jose Mourinho’s pecking order. However, the Portuguese manger will allow Remy to depart – if that is what he wants. What is important to remember is that Chelsea are keen on keeping Remy at Stamford Bridge.
Meanwhile, Chelsea are standing firm and stating that Oscar WON’T be leaving Chelsea, with Juventus heavily linked with the Brazilian. It has been suggested that the Serie A champions are willing to offer €25m.
