Petr Cech seeks Arsenal move

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech will tell Chelsea officials later today that he is keen to join Arsenal this summer.

According to Sky Sports, Cech is having a meeting with the club today to discuss his future, and a potential transfer to London rivals Arsenal.

French champions PSG are also interested in the 33-year-old, however the Czech Republic international wishes to stay in London where he and his family are settled.

And Cech spoke out about his future last week, “I will decide based on what for me and my family was the best.”

Next week we will have a meeting with Chelsea when the situation is clearer and all the cards are on the table. If I move, it brings difficulties. I must change everything, looking for housing, a school for children and so on.

Cech, who has one year remaining on his current contract, spent the majority of last season as the second-choice keeper behind Thibaut Courtois.

The Czech international has had an extremely successful career at Chelsea, winning four league titles; four FA Cups; three League Cups; the Europa League and the Champions League since arriving in 2004, and the Blues are hoping to negotiate a fee of at least £11m for his services.
