Chelsea legend, Gianfranco Zola believes Arsenal can challenge Chelsea next season.
Arsenal finished in third place, fifteen points behind Jose Mourinho’s Champions.
During an interview with Sky Sports Gianfranco Zola explained that the gunners had an impressive defensive record last season, and having secured a deal for Petr Cech following the departure of Ospina, he believes Arsenal can launch a title challenge next season.
“I know Chelsea are going to be strong. I have no doubt about it. The questions is not what Chelsea can do but what can others do to challenge them.”
Arsenal won’t be the only one challenging according to the former Watford manager.
City will be stronger next season but I’m expecting Arsenal to be more competitive as well.
“I thought in the second part of the season Arsenal were outstanding. They impressed with the way they were defending, something that was not their best point.”
