The Mirror are reporting that Atletico Madrid and Chelsea have agreed a fee for Filipe Luis. The newspaper is also reporting that Luis will complete his move to the Spanish side next week after Atletico Madrid only sold him just under a year ago.
Luis has found life difficult at Chelsea, as he has failed to win the left back position in the first-team where Azpilicueta has featured for most parts of the season. Under Mourinho we secured our first Premier League title in five years.
However Luis’ time hasn’t been too successful and it could come to an end shortly.
The 29-year-old only made 15 appearances for Chelsea in the Premier League last season, only 9 of which he started. Filipe only had an average of 51% of his average duels won.
Atletico Madrid failed to retain the La Liga title last season and the Madrid side finished the season in third place behind treble winners Barcelona and their main rival Real Madrid.
Diego Simeone is currently searching for a left back to strengthen his side as Cristian Ansaldi returned to Zenit after his season long loan at the Madrid side ended. His search could soon be over.
