The La Liga champions have reached an agreement with both the club, and the player, who won’t be able to play for his new side until their transfer ban ends in January.
Turkey’s captain Turan has signed a five-year-deal at the Nou Camp, with Atletico receiving €34m, with the possibility of €7m add ons.
However, former Champions League finalists Atletico Madrid can buy their star back from Barcelona in a deal worth €30m, if completed before the 20th July.
Chelsea have missed out on a potential target in Turan, with the Blues now possibly turning their attention elsewhere.
Jose Mourinho’s side have been linked with Antoine Griezmann in recent weeks, who would be a very healthy addition to the Poruguese’s bosses squad, should a deal go through.
However, if a deal for the French international doesn’t succeed, there’s a few other reports linking Chelsea with moves for other stars, including Paul Pogba.
