Besiktas want Remy on a loan deal

Darren Lewis of The Mirror has reported that Turkish giants Besiktas are in hot pursuit of Chelsea striker Loic Remy. The club is looking at a season-long loan deal for the Frenchman with the intention to make the transfer a permanent one afterwards. Besiktas are trying to find a replacement for Demba Ba, ex-Chelsea man, who was recently sold to Shanghai Shenhua.

With the signing of Monaco’s Radamel Falcao, Loic Remy will be finding himself on the Chelsea fringes next season. Remy did extremely well in his maiden campaign with the Blues, scoring seven goals in 21 Premier League appearances. Many, including myself, will argue that Loic does not deserve to be demoted to third striker next season underneath both Diego Costa and newly-recruited Falcao.

But, Jose Mourinho has insisted in the past that Loic Remy is going nowhere this summer, and with good reason! The French international was so good for us last season that it wouldn’t make sense to let him go. However, with the arrival of Falcao and interest from Besiktas, who knows what’ll happen.
