Chelsea make offer to rent Wembley

According to the Times, Chelsea have set an offer of £11m a year to use Wembley Stadium as their temporary home ground whilst Stamford Bridge goes through the rebuild process.

The Premier League champions have presented to Club Wembley board, wanting to use the England national team’s ground for three years.

The Blues want to use the ground from the beginning of the 2017/18 season.

Jose Mourinho’s side have been reported to be Tottenham Hotspurs for the ground, with Spurs needing to leave White Hart Lane for a year so building their new stadium can take place. Pochettino’s side have offered £8m for use of the empathic stadium.
