Chelsea youngster loaned to Vitesse, again!

Somebody call an ambulance! Another Chelsea youngster has fallen prey to the Chelsea-Vitesse loan system! This time the victim is young striker: Izzy Jay Brown.

Since Chelsea and Vitesse embarked on their now semi-successful partnership there has been a history of ineffective loans made to the Dutch club from Chelsea. Since joining Chelsea from West-Brom, Brown has made quite the impact at the youth level. He managed to make his official Chelsea debut against his former club in the second half of the season. Sadly, the Blues could not take any points from the humiliating defeat since the final score was 3-0.

Now, according to the Daily Mail, Brown is set to join Vitesse on loan in order to continue his development with the Dutch club and hopefully secure a place in the Chelsea squad the following season. At Vitesse he will join up with Lewis Baker and maybe a few other Chelsea youth that just don’t quite cut it yet for Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho.

In April of this year, Brown captained the U-19s to glory at the UCL youth level and took part in the U-18 squad that commandeered their way to the FA Youth Cup title.

Hopefully Baker and Izzy can match up again in the Eredivisie in order to help Vitesse secure at least a Europa League spot.
