Chelsea’s squad for our pre-season tour

The Chelsea squad touched down in Montreal, Canada in the early evening local time on Wednesday to begin our pre-season preparations for the upcoming season. Twenty-three players have travelled with the squad for a week of hard training ahead of the first match vs New York Red Bulls.

The pre-season squad in Canada:

Goalkeepers: Thibaut Courtois, Asmir Begovic, Jamal Blackman.

Defenders:  Cesar Azpilicueta, Branislav Ivanovic, Ola Aina, Gary Cahill, John Terry, Kurt Zouma, Jake Clarke-Salter.

Midfielders: Nemanja Matic, John Obi Mikel, Nathaniel Chalobah, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Ramires, Cesc Fabregas, Oscar, Eden Hazard, Bertrand Traore, Victor Moses.

Strikers: Loic Remy, Diego Costa and Dominic Solanke.

The players who have been added to the squad from our side from last season are: Begovic, Moses, Chalobah, Traore, Aina, and Clarke-Salter.

During the tour, four more players will join the squad. Willian, Filipe Luis, Juan Cuadrado and Radamel Falcao will meet up with the squad on 22nd July. They have been given extended leave after their roles in the Copa America with their national sides.

This morning (Thursday) Jose Mourinho and his staff will take the teams first training session. Later in the day there will be a second training session.
