Brazil left full back Filipe Luis has completed his move away from Chelsea to Atletico Madrid after spending one-year at the club which paves way for Abdul Baba Rahman’s transfer to materialize.
The Brazilian failed to oust Cesar Azpilicueta in the left back position and was restricted to a 13 appearances as Chelsea regained the Premier League title and lifted the Capital One Cup.
Luis originally joined from Atletico, who he helped win the La Liga title and reach the Champions League final, at the Blues’ expense.
It is the latest departure from Stamford Bridge this summer with Didier Drogba and Petr Cech leaving for Montreal and Arsenal respectively.
Manager Jose Mourinho is keen to bring in Baba Rahman from Augsburg to bolster the defensive options, although the Ghanaian is seen as more of a natural left back.
Chelsea have surprisingly recorded a profit on this years books by selling Luis according to @JakeFCohen.

There was ~£10.5m in book value remaining on Chelsea's original £15.8m purchase of Luis, which offsets the £11.3m fee the club received.
