This morning, the Italian newspaper La Gazzetta are reporting that Fiorentina want compensation for the recent conflict over Salah. Initially it was agreed there was an option for Salah to extend his loan spell at the Italian side for an extra season, however Salah has turned down the option at extending his stay.
Therefore Fiorentina want Chelsea to pay a fee believed to be between 2-3 million Euros on top of the 1 million Euros Fiorentina originally deposited for Salah’s extension. They have also given Chelsea the option to loan them Loftus-Cheek for the season instead of paying the fee of 2-3 million Euros.
If Fiorentina receive compensation from Chelsea they have said they will not pursue the case with FIFA.
