Moses given squad number

Chelsea outcast Victor Moses looks set to be brought in from the cold after 2 seasons on loan and has been handed the number 20 jersey.

Moses joins a list of fringe attacking midfielders looking to make their mark on this Chelsea team, which makes it more and more unlikely that Pedro will be signed and pretty much confirms Salah will be sold – which we already knew.

Moses joined Chelsea from Wigan on the 24 August and made 43 appearances starting 27 games and scoring 10 goals in all competitions. Willian, probably my favourite Chelsea player last year scored 4 goals in 49 appearances. Jose is excited to give Moses a chance, who is young, homegrown and has experience in the Premier League.

I see him fitting in. He’s strong, he’s experienced, he knows the Premier League well, he’s fast, he’s aggressive.

OK, he has to play with us. But I’m happy with his week, with his 45 minutes and the next match [against Paris Saint-Germain] he will have 45 more minutes. But Victor has had an evolution in the last couple of years.
