One Striker, One Midfielder, One Defender

Jose Mourinho made it pretty clear at the end of the season that our transfer window will be very quiet and outlined that he will add a player in every department to increase competition. This could mean better player rotation in the upcoming season which will greatly improve Chelsea’s chances of performing better in the later stages of the Champions League.

Two or three are always coming to the club, that’s normal. The players I am looking for are my players, the players I want to keep. Last season I had players I wanted to sell.

“The most important thing in the market is not to lose players. How can I find a better striker than Diego Costa? A better midfielder than Nemanja Matic? A better right-back than Branislav Ivanovic?”

Chelsea has added Ramadel Falcao to their list of forwards. We hope Jose will be able to help Falcao rediscover the form that made him one of the best strikers in the world 3 years ago. Falcao joins an attack with a proven track record in England.

The Chelsea medical team will have their work cut out for them in trying to keep Remy and Costa fit. The 2 strikers where injury prone but absolutely clinical and ruthless in front of goal whenever they played. Some competition could be what Costa and Remy need to reproduce their brilliant goal scoring form next season.

In midfield it looks pretty certain that Pedro Rodriguez will be joining Chelsea from Barcelona, he brings a wealth of experience from representing Spain in 2 world cups and needs the game time to maintain his position in the Spanish National side.

At the age of 27 this is a good deal his age will help add some balance to a very young Chelsea side. His biggest quality that makes him the perfect addition to Chelsea is the fact that he plays on both wings and can play as a striker.

In Defence a few names have been linked with a switch to the blues like Sergio Ramos and Varane it will be interesting to see who is coming in but considering the experience in our back 4 it is very likely to be a player coming back from loan or promoted to the first team.

Asmir Begovic has come in to replace Cech so my guess is Pedro will be our final signing. A midfielder and a striker is all it took Mourinho to win the league a great attacking midfielder and striker is all we could need again to take Chelsea to the next level.
