PSG 1-1 Chelsea – Courtois scores stunner

Last nights pre season ‘friendly’ vs PSG was anything but friendly with our very Diego Costa settings the tone 20 second into the game by flattening rookie defender Aurier and the match pretty much kept that tone throughout.

PSG went ahead in the 25th minute through Ibrahimovich after cooling smashing in a rebound from Augustin’s attempt on goal. Chelsea really struggled to get near the ball as PSG dominated the midfield and the game, they went in 1-0 up at the break and had it not been for Begovic’s heroics in goal it could of been 3 or 4.

Ramires, Zouma and Courtois started the second half, Ramires brought a lot more stability to the midfield and allowed us to get forward and Chelsea really kicked into gear around 65th minute mark with Fabregas chipping a delightful ball on to Moses foot for a tap in.

Chelsea then showed why they are the current Premier League Champions for the remainder of the game and Jose threw on my attackers in search of a winner.

Falcao made his debut as he replaced Costa in the 69th minute and his first bit of action was to win the ball back and set up an attack, for the rest of the game he looked really sharp and got his reward as it looked like he volunteered to take and score the first penalty in the shootout.

The rest of the shootout was pretty standard with the only Chelsea play to miss was Cuadrado and then Courtois saving two and taking the 7th spot kick him self with a rocket to win it.

Up next for Chelsea is Barcelona on Wednesday around 1am in Washington DC. What were your thoughts on the game? Comment below!
