The following video is an example, in 3D, of how Chelsea’s new stadium could look.
With a quite odd shape, it’s clear to see that the Premier League champions aren’t looking to keep the new ground, and Stamford Bridge, in the same shape. Also, the shape of the room gives more space to build on, because it’s oval and therefore the roof isn’t hanging above you as much.
Chelsea are in need of a new stadium to bring in more fans, rather than 46,000, which is a small number when you think of it when everyone wants to be watching the Blues, but seats are limited compared to their rivals like Manchester United, Manchester City, Arsenal & Liverpool.
The plans for a new ground are not finalised yet, but here are initial reports of where Chelsea could be playing their football.
Another alternative for Chelsea would be build on the grounds of Stamford Bridge, but that’d get political with pitch owners, and for the money they’d spend on refurbishment, they might as well move.
