Ake completes loan move to Watford

Nathan Ake has today moved on loan to Premier League new-comers Watford after signing a new 5 year contract with Chelsea.

The 20 year old signed for Chelsea in July 2011. Since then he has made a total of 12 first team appearances for Chelsea, 5 of which came last season. Ake made his Chelsea debut on Boxing Day 2012 as a substitute at Norwich away in the Premier League. Last season he also spent a month on loan at Championship side Reading under the management of former Chelsea player and assistant manager Steve Clarke.

Playing at Watford will give Ake a great chance to develop and to play at the highest level. This is the next step for the Under 21 Dutch international after having a short loan spell in the Championship.

Hopefully Ake will feature regularly for the Hornets and if he is to feature in the first team consistently in the future this is set to be the perfect opportunity for him to play against the best and step up his game.
