Cesc Fabregas and Victor Valdes help finalise Pedro deal

Spain and Barcelona winger Pedro is close to joining Chelsea for a reported fee of up to £22 million after Manchester United have withdrawn from negotiations after unsuccessfully agreeing a fee.

Lots of Spanish newspapers are reporting that Pedro is currently in London having a medical with Chelsea despite Ed Woodward (chief executive at Manchester United) flying over to Barcelona on Monday to conclude the deal.

Pedro opted for Chelsea after conversations with ex Barcelona team mates Cesc Fabregas and Victor Valdes.

It is believed that Cesc Fabregas told Pedro about how much he is enjoying his stay back in London and that the players and staff at Chelsea are of high quality and are very friendly.

Pedro has also spoken to Victor Valdes who looks keen to leave Manchester United after Louis Van Gaal has told him he’s not part of his plans. Valdes has warned his ex team mate about the dangers of the club and it’s not a nice experience to work under Van Gaal.
