Chelsea believe Juventus are now ready to sell £70m Pogba

The Blues’ fans must have been really happy to see the arrival of Pedro from Barcelona. And if all goes well, there could be double bonus on the way. It is believed that the Stamford Bridge management sees a window of hope in signing Paul Pogba.

Juventus are trying with all their might to keep their most prized asset. Giving him the iconic number 10 jersey for the season is seen as a sign from the Turin club to the interested clubs abroad – stay away!

But, the claim is hollow considering the fact that Juventus are looking at prospective replacements. The interest in Axel Witsel can be seen as a measure of reluctant acceptance from the Bianconeri that Pogba will leave sooner than later.

Chelsea belief also stems from the fact that the Italian club has left the door open for negotiations. There is no dearth of suitors with Barcelona, Manchester City and even his old club Manchester United willing to go any lengths for his signature.

The Blues believe that Pogba will not want to go back to United having had an acrimonious exit earlier. At City, he is not sure of having a team built around him which is not a problem at Chelsea. Jose Mourinho is a master when it comes to convincing players – look no further than Pedro.

And, any interest from Barcelona can be trumpeted easily because they are in transfer embargo till next year.  A player of the caliber of Pogba doesn’t want to sit on the bench twiddling thumbs. Long story short, all signs point to an emerging situation favoring the Blues.

Pogba is rated at £70 million by the Italian giants and any deal would break the British transfer record. And if he does arrive at the Bridge, make no mistake – this would be a new leaf in the club’s history.
