Solanke completes move to Vitesse

Chelsea have today made it official that Solanke will spend the 2015-16 on loan at Vitesse. It will be the strikers first loan spell away from Stamford Bridge at the Eredivisie club.

The 17 year old had an excellent season last season, where he made his professional debut coming on as a sub in the 73rd minute in the Champions League against NK Maribor. He was also part of the academy sides which won the UEFA Youth League and FA Youth Cup last season.

Solanke is the 5th player to join Vitesse on loan after Brown, Baker, Nathan and Pantic.

Last week in the Europa League qualifiers Vitesse played against Southampton, where Lewis Baker and Isaiah Brown played from the beginning, Danilo Pantic came on later in the second half while Nathan wasn’t included  in the squad as he had problems with his work permit.

Solanke will hopefully be a starter for Vitesse, as the Vitesse Coach has recently said that they need a main striker, they have now signed Solanke which suggests it could be him.
