Courtois picks up an injury

During the international break Thibaut Courtois’ Belgium took a step closer to confirming qualification for the European Championship 2016 in France. In their first match they beat Asmir Begovic’s Bosnia and Herzegovina 3-1 and then later in the week they won in Cyprus 1-0. Courtois played the full 90 minutes in both games.

The players on international duty have returned to training since and yesterday (Wednesday) Courtois picked up an injury in training, however it is unknown how serious the injury is, it can’t confirm at the moment how long he’ll be out of action for or if he will at all.

If Courtois is to miss some games due to injury, Begovic has proved he’s good enough to step in. During our opening game of the season Courtois received a red card against Swansea, when Begovic came on he made some good saves to keep us in the game. Courtois missed our game vs Manchester City due to his suspension too and Begovic also made some tremendous saves against them, if it wasn’t for him the score line could of been worse.
