Mourinho has another dig at Arsene Wenger

Jose Mourinho has continued his fiery feud with the Arsenal boss in the wake of Chelsea’s controversial win over the Gunners last Saturday.

They shared a handshake over the weekend, albeit reluctantly, but it shouldn’t really come as a surprise that Mourinho has taken another swipe at Arsene Wenger, this time claiming that he is the only manager who can keep his job despite not achieving.

After being questioned about manager pressure ahead of Chelsea’s trip to struggling Newcastle on Saturday, Mourinho appeared to fire some cryptic critisisms at the Gunners boss.

Refusing to put a name to his comments, Mourinho said:

He can speak about referees, push people in the technical areas, can cry in the morning and afternoon, nothing happens. Cannot achieve, keep his job, can still be the king, it is privilege.

In this country only one manager is not under pressure, every other manager is under pressure,” Mourinho added, not naming any Premier League boss in particular.

Manuel Pellegrini, Brendan Rodgers, Steve McClaren. We cannot lose matches, we cannot be below expectations.

Mourinho’s comments come after Wenger said the FA should investigate how Diego Costa remained on the pitch during Chelsea’s win last weekend, resulting in a three-game ban for the striker.

The former Atletico Madrid striker will miss tomorrow’s trip to St James’ Park where Chelsea can continue to get their season back on track with three points against a winless Newcastle side.
