Chelsea began the defence of the Capital One Cup with a good 4-1 win away at Walsall in the Midlands. Goals from Ramires, Remy, Kenedy and Pedro set us on our way to cruise to victory.
- Ramires put in an impressive display scoring and assisting a goal. He looks to be playing well since coming back from injury.
- Kenedy scored his first goal for Chelsea. He was a stand out performer tonight and looks a real talent.
- Bransilav Ivanovic and John Terry both were fairly disappointing for the standards they set last season. Both need to regain their form as soon as possible.
- Ruben Loftus-Cheek put in another confident and dominant display tonight. He’s playing excellent at the moment and is proving he can be a really important player for Chelsea in years to come.
- Loic Remy scored tonight providing him with needed confidence going into Saturday’s game at Newcastle.
