For the second time in a row Chelsea lost 3-1 at home, but this time it was against Jurgen Klopp’s liverpool.
Chelsea took an early lead as Azpilicueta spotted the run of Ramires who managed to get his head onto it and put it past the unlucky Simon Mignolet who got a hand on it but couldn’t do anything about it.
From then on Chelsea went back to the tactics that won them to league last season as they soaked up pressure from Liverpool but the defence broke just before half time as Coutinho picked the ball up on the edge of the box, turned the defenders and curled it past the despairing Begovic.
After  half time it went from bad to worse as Chelsea’s attempt to soak up the pressure and try  keep the score level didnt work as the moment Christian Benteke came on, Chelsea crumbled. Coutinho managed to get himself a second goal in the 74th minute and  Benteke got third late on. Mourinho was unhappy with the result and this is what he had to say after the game:
Jose: 'The players tried. You could feel the attitude. You could feel the desire and that the game was 50/50.' #CFC

Jose: 'If you saw some individual performances below a normal level – there were not many. Two at maximum.' #CFC
